Preflex Inc Eco-efficient Product Comes to California

The demand for sustainable housing materials has undoubtedly grown in recent years, almost as much as the need for affordable housing. What if there was a company that could fulfill both needs? Preflex is a construction company based in San Diego California that delivers eco-friendly panels that are as durable as they are functional.

Founded in 2020, right before the pandemic, Preflex has been growing steadily in the last years and opened its own factory in April of 2021 where they manufacture their famous SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels).

These high-performance building systems are ideal for both residential and commercial buildings. Imagine a panel that includes structure interior and exterior sheathing with thermal insulation and wire conduits. We haven’t mentioned the best part yet, they are extremely wieldy and easy to assemble. By the time the SIP arrives most of the hard work has already been done as it has been assembled at the factory. For example, framing for an ADU that’s 600 sqf typically can take anywhere between a week or two. This is drastically reduced to about just two hours with the use of SIP’s in your ADU. It doesn’t require higher construction knowledge to use these for the construction of your ADU.

CEO Gabriel Grossman truly encapsulated the essence of the company when he told us, “Our  company provides housing solutions centered around Environmental Sustainability, User  Experiance and Streamline processes.” Preflex offers an alternative to lumber that is more cost  and energy efficient due to its reduced labor whilst at the same time having a small carbon  footprint. The company is pushing to help the housing crisis in California by providing homes  and materials that are easy to assemble thus drastically decreasing the time and labor costs of  construction.

As an added benefit Preflex products are substantially much more airtight than other building materials, therefore, resulting in less heating and cooling loss. Having greater control over your home’s temperature and humidity results in higher overall air quality.

If you’re interested in using sustainable construction materials, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, make sure to do your research and select materials that are appropriate for your specific project. Second, be sure to work with a reputable and experienced contractor who can help you select and install the right materials. Sustainable construction materials can make a big difference in the look, feel, and environmental impact of your home or business. If you’re ready to go green, consider using Preflex sustainable materials for your next construction project.
